Wild life week : Clean Air Campaign
The 57th wildlife week (1-7th October, 2011), is about to start and this year it is been named Clean Air Campaign to encourage the clean air in the city and to control air pollution in our green city.
This campaign is concentrated on some major effects of air pollution on wildlife and us. The goal is to adopt some easy and cheap ideas to avoid air pollution in the urban areas, to increase tree plantation, using the dried leafs and other materials of trees to make compost and as a whole to clean and pure the air.
This programme is being organized in collaboration with Mahaveer International, and several concerned individuals and NGOs.The schedule for this campaign is as follows:
Cycle rally named “Run for Clean Air”, which will start from Town Hall at 7.15 AM and will reach to Gandhi Ground by 7.45 AM. This effort is being made to encourage the use of cycles. For this purpose, coupons will be given to all the participants coming to Gandhi Ground (by any means). Then wards will be given by lucky draws. The awards will include even free cycles. The awards will include sponsorship of 100% or 75% or 50% or 25% or 10%.
