Life is so uncertain and we cannot say which moment will be the last moment of someone’s life. The sunrise of September 17 brought an eternal darkness in the family as Mr. Shrivastava closed his eyes forever in a private hospital in Delhi.

He was in Delhi for a couple of days for treatment. He is survived with wife Kanta Shrivastava, two sons Shrikant and Ashutosh, and a daughter Jaya behind him.

Mr. Surendra was serving as Senior Editor to the Avid Web Solution group of publications where he was a consultant and lead guide for the journalism and literary part of company.

“This was not his age to leave the world as he was just into his 50s. And he had responsibilities on his shoulders,” rues his elder brother Virendra who is immersed in sorrow deeply. “We would like to make a promise to his soul that we will take care of his family and ensure all his wishes are fulfilled,” adds Virendra.

He wasn’t very active for last one decade due to his ailments but earlier he had been an eminent and renoen writer and had served to many popular daily and weekly papers like Blitz, Prabhaat Kiran, and Arthik Ghosh.

Born on 25 April 1957 Mr. Shrivastva was recently working with Mohan Lal sukhadia University. His vision for university and various improvement suggestions helped university immensely.

A man of principle, Surendra was very sincere towards his work and led a simple life. “He had been very regular and had no bad habits. If he would leave office at 7, he would be surely home in next ten minutes. His demise is totally shocking and sad,” said Anil Sapra, a close friend.

The sad demise of a maverick writer and philosopher and a free form poet is a big setback to the world of Literature. We are with the family at this hard time. May his soul rest in peace.
