Kavi Sammelan in Udaipur
Udaipur is a city where cultural activities are common because people love art. Be it painting, music, or poetry, artists love to perform and people love to enjoy. October 11, 2017, the venue was Muktakashi Manch in Shilpgram Udaipur and the occasion was Kavi Sammelan organized by Maharana Lions charitable trust to support the adoption of Trauma center of Maharana Bhupal General Hospital of Udaipur.
The program began with Saraswati Vandana by Kavita Tiwari who also recited poems about the audacity of the Indian army. Later Anil Agravanshi and Rajesh Chetan entertained the audiences with comic poetry in Haasya Ras.
Beauty poetry by Mutaz Aseem was amazing to listen to and it was well written on poetic lines. Ajaat Shatru, the convener of the program advised film producer-director, and musician Sanjay Leela Bhansali on Padmavati to read the history first. He further asked the Bollywood director to read poems by Narottam Mishra. His poetry revealed the pain he felt on Padmavati movie.
Padmashree poet Shri Ashok Chakradhar as usual stole heart of the audiences. His visionary poetry left people inspired. He suggested through his poem that you should complete your tasks today only as you not going to live forever. This thought truly can give direction to people who want to achieve something or are chasing a dream in life.
Bal Kavi Bairagi was another amazing poet who left audience enthralled. He hailed living legend Shri Gopaldas Saxena ‘Neeraj’ for entertaining four generations in a row with his mesmerizing poetry. Bairagi earlier spoke about Hindi and its significance in life in a press meet.
Bairagi thanked Lata Mangeshkar and Indian Railways to support and spread the magic of Hindi. He said that to understand songs of Lata ji, people learn Hindi. And Indian railway carries Hindi words and brings many regional words with it.
